Today we had to show our pictures to sir but since many people didn’t bring it so sir told the class to work on their pictures and show it to him one by one. My idea was rusting of iron which depicts passage of time but the pictures that I had clicked weren’t clear so I decided to change my idea and started working on it. Sir mentioned that the pictures we clicked were only related to our object and there was no background, so we had to use the background as well in our images to show the passage of time.
We discussed all the major events that took part in the 60s

- Vietnam: The Vietnam War(Second Indochina War) against America was a conflict in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1 November 1955 to the fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975. They defeated America. They were also the heroes in World War II.
- Space Race: The Space Race was between the two Cold War rivals, the Soviet Union (USSR) and the United States (US), to achieve firsts in spaceflight capability. When Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon in 1969, America went down in popular history as the winner of the space race. However, the real pioneers of space exploration were the Soviet cosmonauts.
- Cuban Missile Crisis: It was a direct and dangerous confrontation between United States and Soviet Union during the Cold War and was the moment when the two superpowers came closest to nuclear conflict. The crisis was unique in a number of ways, featuring calculations and miscalculations as well as direct and secret communications and miscommunications between the two sides.
- John Fitzgerald Kennedy Assassination: The President of the United States, was assassinated on November 22, 1963, at 12:30 p.m. Central Standard Time in Dallas, Texas, while riding in a presidential motorcade.-
Reflection:
Todays class was very informative and interesting for me. The first half was creative thinking in which we thought about our assignment again and made it better and the second half was all about the events during the 60s, it was an interactive session.
