We started off by discussing the main events that took place in India and then the US in the 1960s.
INDIA in the 60s

- Goa, Diu and Daman were free from the Portuguese rule.
US in the 60s
- Vietnam war
- The Beatles
- John F Kennedy was assassinated
- Neil Armstrong on moon
We then discussed what time is and divided it into two aspects:
1.The Scientific aspect of time defines it as a unit of measurement.
2.The Philosophical aspect – the Egyptian culture perceived time in two ways- Linear and Cyclical.
According to Sir Isaac Newton, absolute time (which is also sometimes known as “Newtonian time”) exists independently of any perceiver, progresses at a consistent pace throughout the universe, is measurable but imperceptible, and can only be truly understood mathematically. For Newton, absolute time and space were independent and separate aspects of objective reality, and not dependent on physical events or on each other.
