We decided to change our materials and our inspiration as the material which we hade earlier(pigeon net) wasn’t a very good material as it wasn’t possible to achieve the shape and pattern that we wished for so we decided to change the inspiration and based on the inspiration, we would choose our materials.

We had two different inspirations listed and we chose people locking their arms(couples, brother/sister) which shows love, comfort and protection. We chose wool as our material as it is soft and when we were young, often our grandmother used to make woollen clothes and caps during the winter. We chose wool as our material and used Cats Cradle as we used to play cats cradle when we were young and the material used for cats cradle is wool.

Cats Cradle has a pattern which we have used which will depict the ups and downs in the relationship between a brother and his sister. The relationship is a very complicated one as at times they will fight with each other but at the ame time they will love each other a lot and to show these complex feelings we chose the colour red and purple. Red depicts love and purple depicts mystery. to connect it between our arms we made a small bracelet with white which depects purity, the pure bond between a brother and sister.

On showing our work to sir, he said that all of this is crafting and not designing so we decided to knit an arm band using wool.
