Today sir told us to get a picture which is filled with colours. I got a few of them and showed dit to sir and decided one of them. We used tracing paper and placed it on top of the image and traced the box. We then divided the image into grids and later on we had to divide each colour in the grid. If two colours are inside one grid, we have to separate them on the tracing paper. We had to do this till all the colours in the picture are divided properly.

We then made an impression of the grids on the tracing paper onto our sketchbook. Sir told us to analyse the colours that would be filled in each grid and told us to start filling colours till it doesn’t match the image. We learnt about the different types of colours in this exercise. Colour plays a big role in art and knowing its different kind of shades and tones helps make the art much better. We did colour mapping and it wasn’t easy, we learn’t about the different shades and tones of colours.

Before starting to fill the colour it took about 30 minutes to figure out each colour for each grid. I used different tones and shades of colours to figure out what was going to be filled in one grid.
