Week 1 (Int Sem)


Learned about the different kinds of poems(Limerick and Haiku)
Limerick: Limerick is a 5 line poem which is humorous and has the rhyme scheme aabba. Haiku: Haiku is a Japanese poem with seven syllables only. 
A few pictures were shown and either a limerick or a haiku was to be written based on those pictures.

  1. A summer river being crossed How pleasing With slippers in my hand!
  2. There once was a drunken old man, 
    Who stumbled across desert sand.
    And into Teddy Bear spines, 
    He fell and lost his mind, 
    Screaming, I dropped the beer from my hand. 
  3. Rain wets and darkens
    Leaves between trees: a few line
    The slanting sidewalk
